About the Role
The Senior Data Scientist will be a key member of the data analytics team. In this role, you will use your expertise to solve data related challenges in manufacturing operations and vehicle data analysis. You have a strong sense of curiosity, along with an open mindset. Your Responsibilities
• Lead the data projects, apply, and inspire the adoption of advanced data science, analytics, and computer vision across the team and projects.
• Develop strategy and applications of statistical analysis, Machine Learning, Computer vision, and AI tools to improve product development, manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and business processes.
• Support, plan, and execute the initial and wider deployment and adoption of ML and AI initiatives, PoC, and small-scale implementation.
• Conceptualize Machine Learning problems, apply appropriate theory, explore approaches, execute simulations, and implement with minimal supervision.
• Leverage internal and external expertise as required.
• Regularly interface with senior management to provide project updates.
• Occasionally responsible to hire, lead, supervise, and evaluate indirect hires, such as summer students.
Who we are looking for
• Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related education with 7+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision.
• Alternate: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related education with 10+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision.
• PhD preferred
Your preferred qualifications
• Experience with a wide variety of ML and AI techniques and algorithms
• Experience with computer vision, structured light based 3D reconstruction of point cloud or mesh, feature estimation
• Experience with optimization algorithms for processing time and memory, parallel processing and implementation / Cuda
• Knowledge of C++
• Experience with agile project management and related tools such as Confluence and JIRA
• Experience with cloud-based tools by Microsoft, AWS, Databricks
• Analytic tools and languages for statistical and machine learning models, especially Python
• Deep Learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow
• Data management using PySpark and SQL
• DevOps - GIT, Docker, CI/CD
