About our client
Our client is a Toronto-based leader in clean technology, focused on advancing the transition to net zero energy. They offer innovative battery energy storage solutions and optimize distributed energy assets to deliver cleaner, more reliable electricity. Deliverables
- Build and maintain scalable reliable data pipelines
- Optimize solutions for handling and analyzing time series data
- Work with Apache Spark and Apache Flink for large-scale data processing
- Handle relational and time series databases like Postgres, TimescaleDB, and InfluxDB
- Implement and manage workflows using Airflow
- Utilize AWS services for data solutions
- Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and optimize machine learning models
- Monitor and improve data systems, addressing issues as needed
About you
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics), or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Hands-on with Apache Spark and Apache Flink
- Familiarity with Airflow for workflow orchestration and AWS for cloud-based data solutions
- Skilled in relational and timeseries databases (e.g., Postgres, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB)
