About the Role

Hi, I'm Aurobind, Head of IT, Systems and Data at Jane.

We're rebuilding how we manage data and analytics at Jane. Our goal is to establish a trusted data foundation that powers self-service analytics, AI, and consistent business metrics across the company.

This role is great for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable navigating ambiguous business questions, and brings a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to define requirements, validate logic, and deliver high-quality data products that guide critical financial decisions.

At Jane, we value transparency, ownership, and a problem-solving mindset. If you love working with data, care deeply about accuracy, and enjoy partnering with Finance and Payments to drive impact, this role is for you.

The Impact You Could Have
  • Partner closely with the Finance and Payments teams to build, refine, and maintain the metrics, models, and dashboards that power Jane’s financial reporting.

  • Own end-to-end analysis: from understanding business questions → writing SQL/dbt models → building Looker dashboards → sharing insights clearly with stakeholders.

  • Develop and optimize Looker dashboards to support financial planning, revenue analysis, cost insights, and transaction-level reporting.

  • Maintain and evolve core financial data models in dbt.

  • Troubleshoot data quality issues, validate calculations, and ensure trusted, reconciled datasets that Finance and Payments can rely on.

  • Work with ambiguous requirements, identify gaps, ask the right questions, and translate business needs into clear technical solutions.

  • Support the modernization of our data architecture by applying our best practices in modeling, documentation, QA, and performance tuning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Support, and Marketing when financial data intersects or is needed.

The Experience We Feel We Need
  • 5+ years experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst in a high-growth or complex product environment.

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, dbt, and Looker, able to write complex queries, model data, and build insightful dashboards.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical topics and financial logic to non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to take initiative and ownership, work independently, and drive projects from concept to delivery.

  • High attention to detail, especially with reconciliation, financial logic, metric definitions, and QA.

  • Experience working with stakeholders in Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Payments, Revenue Ops).

  • Experience with GitHub/version control.
