Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Application Specialist
(DevOps/Cloud Engineer) to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based
applications and enterprise solutions. This role focuses on cloud-native
development, DevOps automation, and end-to-end solution delivery across modern
distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
applications hosted in cloud environments
- Design
and build software platforms running on virtual systems
- Perform
performance optimization and fine-tuning of applications
- Lead
development and implementation of web-based, n-tier, cloud-based, and
legacy-integrated applications
- Develop
and integrate cloud technologies for transactional processing and system
integration
- Integrate
open-source solutions into enterprise systems
- Prepare
technical documentation including system specifications, implementation
plans, and design artifacts
- Develop
test plans, test data, and conduct unit testing
- Support
production systems, troubleshoot issues, and respond to technical queries
- Participate
in design reviews and testing walkthroughs
- Support
team testing efforts and ensure quality delivery
- Provide
regular status updates to project leadership
- Transfer
knowledge and provide guidance to internal teams
Qualifications
Core Experience
- 8–10+
years of experience in cloud application development and engineering
- Strong
expertise in Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS)
- Experience
with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Hands-on
experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, CI/CD
pipelines)
- Proven
ability to build scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions
Technical Skills
- Experience
with enterprise cloud architecture, security (IAM, encryption, compliance)
- Knowledge
of data engineering (ETL/ELT, cloud data services)
- Expertise
in observability (monitoring and logging solutions)
- Strong
DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Experience
with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches
- Ability
to integrate systems using RESTful APIs
- Proficiency
with Git and version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
- Experience
automating infrastructure provisioning and workflows
- Scripting
experience (e.g., Python)
- Experience
with virtualization and hypervisor technologies
- Knowledge
of networking fundamentals
General Skills
- Strong
understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability
to troubleshoot and enhance existing applications
- Experience
adapting software for performance improvements and system changes
- Strong
collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset
- Ability
to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
Nice to Have
- Experience
with VMware-based environments
- Exposure
to AWS cloud services

working with legacy or mainframe systems
