What you’ll be doing

Total Rewards delivers competitive, strategically aligned programs that attract, reward and inspire our employees. Our team achieves this through the design, implementation and delivery of compensation, benefits, and retirement/savings plans and by providing people analytics insights that inform our bank's people practices, programs and processes. As a Senior Analyst, Team Rewards, you will support the Enterprise Total Rewards team by completing analysis and developing recommendations related to new or modified compensation programs and practices that support business goals and market competitive practices.  You will also prepare and maintain reports, summaries, and program documentation, facilitate meetings and manage centralized mailboxes.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Compensation Analysis – Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, cost-effective, and aligned with CIBC’s strategy. This includes evaluating trends, modeling financial impacts, and documenting insights and recommendations for business leaders.
  • Communication – Prepare and maintain clear, concise reports, summaries, presentation materials and program documentation. Facilitate meetings, manage centralized mailboxes, and foster strong relationships with internal partners through collaborative and responsive communication.
  • Data Integrity – Monitor and address data integrity issues by reviewing regular reports and ensuring accuracy in compensation-related data. 
  • Market Research – Perform internal and external market research by analyzing compensation survey results and conducting ad-hoc studies to provide actionable insights. 
  • Technical Advice – Support HR Business Partners and Total Rewards Partners by provide guidance on pay decisions, policy interpretation, regulatory compensation requirements (e.g., Pay Equity) and year-end compensation processes.
  • Project Participation – Contribute to enterprise-wide compensation initiatives by analyzing data, preparing documentation, and coordinating deliverables with internal stakeholders.
