What you’ll do:

  • Develop analytical models, frameworks, and recommendations that support in-store space allocation and retail resource planning decisions across Canadian Tire Corporation’s retail banners.

  • Analyze sales, margin, productivity, and operational data to identify opportunities, evaluate business trade-offs, and guide in-store space allocation decisions using Customer-Centric Growth (CCG) principles.

  • Partner with the Enterprise Assortment Planning team by providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to inform performance guardrails and measurement of business outcomes.

  • Prepare reporting, presentations, and executive materials that communicate insights, recommendations, and performance trends to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Canadian Tire Corporation’s retail banners, including Space Planning, Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, and Marketing, to align on resource allocation priorities and support informed decision-making.

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and act as a liaison between teams to promote consistency in planning approaches, performance measurement, and resource allocation practices.

  • Support broader Enterprise Resource Planning initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve planning processes, analytical methodologies, and scalable approaches to resource optimization and performance improvement.

What you bring:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in retail analytics, merchandising, planning, business strategy, resource planning, or related disciplines. Experience working in a multi-unit retail environment is considered an asset.

  • Exposure to space planning concepts, store layouts, planograms, or retail productivity analysis is considered an asset.

  • A combination of relevant experience and education in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Strategy, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and scenario analysis. Experience with BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is an asset.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to present complex analysis to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing detailed analysis and multiple priorities.

  • Experience developing frameworks, KPIs, reporting processes, or decision-support models is considered an asset.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration.

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – $106,000.
Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
