The Job: Senior Analyst, Credit Strategy

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Credit Strategy to develop and optimize data-driven credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle. This role plays a key part in balancing growth and risk by delivering insights, building models, and supporting strategy execution that drives profitable and responsible lending decisions.


What You’ll Do

Credit Strategy Development & Optimization

  • Design and refine credit strategies across acquisition, underwriting, line management, and collections
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support planning and new opportunities
  • Support execution of strategies across the credit lifecycle

Portfolio Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Analyze portfolio performance, customer behavior, and risk metrics to identify trends and opportunities
  • Monitor production data and resolve issues to ensure data accuracy and platform stability

Policy & Risk Frameworks

  • Support development and evaluation of credit policies and risk appetite frameworks
  • Contribute to initiatives that balance profitability with risk exposure
  • Execute structured testing plans to validate strategy effectiveness

Reporting & Insights

  • Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs, credit outcomes, and strategy performance
  • Provide clear insights to stakeholders to support decision-making

Experimentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and execute A/B tests and champion/challenger experiments
  • Evaluate results and recommend improvements to drive better credit outcomes

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Experience in credit risk, financial services, or analytics-focused roles
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing advanced analysis
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk management or financial services
  • Experience with retail lending, cards, or consumer finance products is an asset
  • Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS is preferred

Please note: The salary range for this position is between CAD $90,000 to CAD $97,000.
