Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Talent Acquisition to join our talent acquisition team and will be based in the head office in Toronto. Reporting to a Director, Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for experienced hire recruiting across a range of departments with a focus on the Technology & Data department. As a Senior Advisor, Talent Acquisition, you will lead recruitment activities for multiple levels and businesses throughout the organization. Leveraging your experience and market insights, you'll drive recruitment strategies, foster candidate relationships, ensure an inclusive recruitment process, and advise hiring managers on optimal approaches to source, recruit, and assess candidates.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment including advising Hiring Managers on developing the recruitment strategy, managing the interview process with candidates, and leading the offer process and negotiation. 
  • Source, map, manage, and interview global candidates at multiple levels for multiple businesses.
  • Identify core capabilities for successful hires and generate interview/candidate assessment content (interview guides and decision tools) to measure those capabilities/potential. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance and expertise on recruitment processes, candidate sourcing, and selection criteria to support strategic workforce planning.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of talent acquisition initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization of recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to recruit across other groups and departments, depending on relative hiring demands.

Qualifications

  • University or college graduate with commitment to continued learning.
  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience preferably with experience recruiting for Technology & Data roles.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing full-cycle recruitment for roles up to and including Director level.
  • Proven track record of sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
  • Comfort building candidate talent maps and documents to research candidate market.
  • High degree of diplomacy, experience working with interview teams and managing up and across the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Advanced candidate management and assessment skills with a proven track record of successful hires.
