Lead month-end close and financial reporting, manage P&L and balance sheet variance analysis, review/approve journal entries and reconciliations, oversee COGS and redemption margin analysis, support contract accounting and interim audits, prepare ad hoc financial reports, and provide guidance to accounting team members.
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee key financial reporting and month-end close activities in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing P&L and balance sheet variance analysis, reviewing and approving journal entries and reconciliations, supporting COGS and redemption margin analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will also assist with contract management, support interim audits, and provide ad hoc financial analysis while offering guidance and leadership to accounting team members.
Please note that this is a 4 month contract opportunity.
How you'll support the Accounting Function at Achievers:
- Oversee month-end close processes, including review of P&L variance analysis, journal entries, and system close procedures.
- Review and approve journal entries related to COGS and intercompany netting.
- Manage redemption margin analysis and provide guidance on COGS-related reporting.
- Review and approve account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team.
- Perform and manage balance sheet and financial statement variance analysis.
- Assess accounting implications of contract terms and communicate impacts to AR and Accounting teams.
- Support global interim audit requirements and documentation requests.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
Experience we feel will set you up for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA designation
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance to General and Senior Accountants
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a strong asset.

$110,000 - $165,000 reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on current market data. The final offer will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, and any relevant certifications.
