We are seeking a dynamic individual with a blend of healthcare industry experience and Scrum Master expertise, and project management experience to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the agile delivery of healthcare software solutions while also providing critical analysis and insights to drive business success.

What your impact will be:

1. Scrum Master Duties:

  • Serve as a Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive team collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the progress of the team, fostering a culture of problem-solving and self-organization.
  • Coach team members on Agile methodologies and best practices, promoting a culture of agility, innovation, and accountability while following set processes that may be adapted to project needs.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and refine product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and sprint progress, identify areas for optimization, and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the team’s software solutions and workflows to effectively facilitate discussions, remove impediments, and support delivery.

2. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Product Owner and Business Analyst with the following:
  • Enhancing backlog quality by coaching on and assisting with effective user story writing, and acceptance criteria to ensure stories are ready and accepted for execution by the agile team.
  • Facilitate requirements clarification by using product knowledge to bridge the gap between the PO’s vision and the agile team’s technical implementation ensuring shared understanding and identifying potential risk and/or dependencies early.
  • A whole-team approach to quality by actively participating in extra testing activities such as break-a-thons.
  • Ensuring a clear communication of value by collaborating with the PO and BA to translate completed features and bugs into clear, user-centric release notes that effectively communicate the value delivered to stakeholders
  • Monitor and track related feedback and issues pertaining to User Acceptance Testing and escalate when needed.

What we look for:

  • 3 years as a Scrum Master in an agile environment and preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, with the ability to tailor approaches to meet specific project needs. Experience with Scaled Agle Framework™ (SAFe) will make you stand out.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies commonly used in agile project managment and business analysis, specifically JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive data-driven decision-making.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, HL7 interfaces, and best practices in Canada or the United States.
  • Experience with software quality testing and quality processes 
  • Experience as a clinical informaticist or part of a healthcare system’s application support team, contributing to the optimization and support of healthcare information systems.
  • Languages spoken and/or written French, English, Spanish
