About The Opportunity

The Sales Project Manager at Menasha Packaging is responsible for the management and development of our customer’s point-of-purchase displays and promotional packaging programs while maintaining exceptional customer relationships by providing effective and efficient service and process expertise. As a Sales Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.

Pay Band and Posting Status

Pay Band is $70,000.00 - $95,000.00

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position.  The employee may perform some or all these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assume project level responsibilities for the commercial relationship of project development and operational care of assigned customer categories/brands from ideation through final production.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients at the project level, understanding their requirements and expectations.

  • Regularly communicate with the client regarding project status, addressing concerns, and providing updates on progress.

  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.

  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members to meet project goals.

  • Manage, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects at various stages of their respective lifecycles.

  • Understand how to navigate the end-to-end process making sure key deliverables, milestones and process handoffs are all completed in accordance with Menasha's standards and client specifications.

  • Manage the bill of materials and make sure the materials, print expectations and pricing expectations create the right solution and value for the client. Validate that the deliverables and quotes are aligned and accurate.

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

  • Demonstrate full ownership of projects and troubleshoot issues as they arise and make quick, informed decisions to keep projects on track.

  • Conduct regular reviews to identify areas for innovation, optimizing project performance, continuous improvement, and cost savings.

  • Support Account Managers as required to help build presentations, organize information for a sales initiative, be available for in-person meetings and any other Sales activity that may arise.

  • Support any tracking and data entry activities for internal and/or client driven key performance indicators.

  • Make necessary visits at the customer office/plant or various Menasha locations to ensure a "hands-on" level of involvement, leveraging the right form of communication and making sure the right solutions are established.

  • Abides by and supports Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP.

  • Stays informed and aware of industry trends, technological advancements and best practices surrounding packaging.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Packaging related graphic (Print), structural and retail knowledge required.

  • Strong client and customer service orientation with the ability to build strong working relationships.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate across a vast network of stakeholders (internal and external).

  • Skilled at managing multiple and conflicting priorities, having tough conversations, and holding others accountable.

  • Resourceful with positive, proactive problem-solving skills.

·        Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word minimum)

·        Strong desire to learn.

·        Capacity to adapt to process and system change.

  • Ability to understand and apply the bigger picture, while attending to the details.

  • Self-directed, strong work ethic, positive disposition and a “can do” attitude.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
    3-5 years of proven success in a category manager/project manager role in packaging.

 

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting.

  • .Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location.

  • This is for an 18 month contract
