Job Responsibilities:
GENERAL
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
  • Comply with the requirements of C-TPAT/PIP
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
  • Actively and positively support the continued practice of Common Values behaviours
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF16949 standards
  • Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Pullmatic Mfg. Employee Handbook
  • Initiate and embrace company change
  • Follow Operators' Downtime Escalation Process
  • Comply and participate in monthly Health & Safety Quiz.
  • Comply and participate with the Company's Continuous Improvement program.
  • Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
  • Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
  • Perform other duties as required

HEALTH AND SAFETY
  • Observe standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
  • According to OHSA Section 28 (1) (a) (b) (c) (d), (2) (a) (b) (c) and (3):
    • A worker shall:
      • Work in compliance with the provisions of this Act and the regulations;
      • Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that your employer requires to be used or worn;
      • Report to your employer or supervisor of the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which you are aware and which may endanger yourself, or another worker; and
      • Report to your employer or supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which you know.
    • You shall not:
      • Remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the regulations or by your employer, without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has ceased, the protective device shall be replaced immediately;
      • Use or operate any equipment, machine, device or thing or work in a manner that may endanger yourself or any other worker; or
      • Engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
    • You are not required to:
      • Participate in a prescribed medical surveillance program unless the worker consents to do so.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work as a team with fellow team members and personnel of other departments
  • Participate in team problem solving preventative / corrective action as required
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
