This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Calix is looking for a Sales Intern to join our Regionals East team for the Summer. You will be part of a unique program within the company which provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. The duration of the progtam is expected to be 90 days.
This opportunity will provide education into Calix and how the Sales team is enabled and trained so that they can confidently sell to their prospects and customers. This role will provide exposure to different products, solutions, and sales team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing and wants to optimize new ways to enable our sellers. This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Sales or Marketing student to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get real hands-on experience building a field enablement program.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with Sales Managers and RVPs to organize and update Salesforce account information. 
  • Ensure our CRM tools have clean data for our sales teams. 
  • Research prospect, contact and persona details in SFDC and other tools to determine what is new in the enablement space. 
  • Review opportunities and share past due activites with Sales every week.
  • Use LinkedIn and other resources to research prospects. 
  • Research online courses and books to supplement role-based learning. 
  • Pull CRM data on account inventory levels vs usage levels and propose new ordering suggestions. 
  • Assist in managing sales campaigns and track weekly effectiveness. 
  • Attend remote meetings with customers for note taking and sharing of information. 
  • Maintain a convention sheet for each region detailing events, locations and dates along with attendance. 

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
  • Excel and data entry experience. 
  • Salesforce.com or any CRM experience preferred. 
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new applications and platforms. 
  • Team player. 
  • Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and analysis. 
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of an organization. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Available to work effectively in a remote environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast changing environments. 
  • Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of college and those with previous internship or work experience.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

23.00 - 29.90 USD Hourly

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

20.00 - 26.00 USD Hourly

Regional plus NY:

18.00 - 23.40 USD Hourly
