Position: Sales Development Representative (SDR) Co-Op
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales
Development Representative (SDR) to support Account Management and Bid Capture
activities through prospect identification, research, outreach, lead
qualification, CRM management, and sales administration.
This is an entry-level Co-Op opportunity designed to provide
hands-on exposure to business development, sales operations, bid coordination,
and client engagement activities. The successful candidate will help build and
maintain a strong sales pipeline while supporting proposal and RFP-related
initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect Research & List Building
- Conduct
research to identify prospective companies and key decision-makers within
target markets using AI, social media, web-based, and database research
tools.
- Build
and maintain high-quality prospect lists aligned with sales strategies.
- Analyze
company information, industry trends, and buying signals to prioritize
outreach efforts.
Lead Qualification
- Qualify
inbound and outbound leads based on defined criteria such as needs,
budget, authority, and timing.
- Assess
prospect suitability and readiness for engagement with the sales team.
- Maintain
accurate records of lead status and interactions.
Outbound Outreach
- Execute
initial outreach through email, phone, and social platforms such as
LinkedIn.
- Create
personalized messaging to engage prospects and generate interest.
- Schedule
meetings and transition qualified opportunities to Account Managers.
Sales Support
- Collaborate
closely with Account Managers on target account strategies and outreach
plans.
- Support
ongoing sales initiatives and campaigns.
- Assist
in developing account insights and briefing materials.
- Support
bid capture activities, RFP assessments, workflow coordination, and
related administrative duties.
CRM Management
- Maintain
accurate records of all activities, leads, and opportunities within CRM
platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Register
and track opportunities throughout the sales pipeline.
- Ensure
CRM data integrity, accuracy, and timely updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1 to
3 years of experience in sales, business development, sales
administration, or a related field.
- Entry-level
candidates with strong aptitude and demonstrated interest are encouraged
to apply.
- Strong
research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable
conducting outreach and engaging new prospects.
- Experience
with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is considered an asset.
- Experience
with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT,
ZoomInfo, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
- Interest
or experience working with Indigenous recruitment initiatives, procurement
programs, Indigenous communities, organizations, or Indigenous-owned
businesses is considered an asset.

Work Location & Setup:
Hybrid — The ideal candidate should be within commuting
distance of the Oakville office with the ability to work remotely.
