Job Description:

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of our sales team.  In this role you will have a direct impact on delivering an efficient and positive experience by offering support to all members of the regional team with sales and marketing initiatives, while offering specific support to the Director of Sales to generate efficiencies.  The role involves some administrative functions, with the balance dedicated to sales & marketing initiatives, reporting and event planning and execution.

What will you do?

  • Drive sales opportunities by supporting the region with sales and marketing initiatives, including regional campaigns, marketing communications, social media materials, and communication templates
  • Develop, create, and analyze regularly scheduled and ad-hoc Regional reports on sales results, team activities and opportunities, through the use of Salesforce and Excel.  Leverage this data to support the sales team in identifying key successes and future opportunities.
  • Organize, plan and execute advisor-facing events (virtual and in-person), including reserving venues, arranging for appropriate sales support materials, and building follow-up strategies for the sales team to execute.  Also includes managing feedback surveys and issuing CE Certificates for attendees.
  • Distribute relevant sales, marketing and promotional material to advisors and other distribution partners, in support of our regional objectives.
  • Provide general administrative support for the region.
  • Maintain records of a highly confidential nature

What do you need to succeed?

  • Drive to succeed by taking initiative and providing excellent service to clients and partners
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Windows
  • Knowledge of CRM (SalesForce)
  • Independent critical thinker and self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude. Highly proactive, very organized, and with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Effectively apply organizational skills to plan events, support sales initiatives, track various sales activities and generate reports. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
  • Knowledge of life and health insurance products, including administrative procedures.
  • Experience in an administrative or similar sales support role
  • Post-secondary education
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Zoom, WebEx an asset
  • Capable of responsibly handling sensitive and confidential information

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
