Phasor Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Administrator / Coordinator to join our team and help drive a culture of safety excellence. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce by implementing and overseeing Phasor Engineering and Quanta Services safety programs, supporting compliance with all regulatory and company standards across Canada and the United States, and assisting the HR Team in a multitude of fashions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating safe work environments, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate across teams to achieve safety objectives. Roles and Responsibilities:

HSE Documentation & Systems

· Review, update, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs

· Maintain working knowledge of applicable OHS, OSHA, CSA, ANSI, and administrative requirements

· Manage and organize employee safety documentation in accordance with company standards

Incident Management & Claims

· Lead and support incident investigations through initiation, completion, and close-out

· Coordinate with HR and operations to manage injury, disability, and return-to-work claims

· Track, analyze, and report incidents, unsafe acts/conditions, and corrective actions

· Identify trends and implement improvement plans to reduce incidents and injuries

Project & Field Safety

· Participate in pre-job hazard assessments and develop project HSE documentation (PSSP, PSA, JSA, etc.)

· Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, site inspections, and FLHA reviews

· Monitor completion and quality of inspections, assessments, and review cycles

· Develop site-specific safe work procedures and controls as required

Training & Workforce Development

· Assign, track, and manage safety training, JSAs, SWPs, and forms through Sitedocs/systems

· Support onboarding safety documentation and training requirements

· Ensure training compliance with Phasor and jurisdictional requirements

· Proactively communicate training status, renewals, and deficiencies

Corporate Compliance & Reporting

· Support and participate in compliance audits (COR, NSC, DOT, CNSC, etc.)

· Maintain HSE metrics, reports, and dashboards

· Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information

· Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, municipal, and corporate requirements

· Support ISNetworld, Avetta, and other HSE prequalification systems


Requirements

Required Skills

· Professional and approachable with good customer service skills

· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

· Good critical thinking skills

· Effective Communication skills, both written & oral

· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work effectively with others

· Ability to engage and coach individual's

· A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications

Required Experience

· National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is required

· Experience in a Health and Safety role, usually evidenced by 4+ years of experience

· Experience working in the utility industry is preferred

· Experienced in both Canadian and United States OSHA acts, codes, and regulations preferred

· Experience in client compliance websites (ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks, etc.)
