AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Risk Manager to join our growing team. The Risk Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Risk Management Plans across multiple projects and programs, ensuring the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks to achieve successful project outcomes. The Risk Manager will also mentor and support the professional development of staff, fostering a culture of proactive risk management.

Location – Toronto, ON

Your role within the team:

  • Verify the implementation of project and program Risk Management Plans by project teams.
  • Integrate program-wide risk data to support program-level risk management decisions.
  • Maintain a program-wide register of identified and emergent risks and opportunities for future projects.
  • Facilitate regular risk workshops and applies in-depth knowledge of the program to inform risk identification and mitigation.
  • Provide accurate, reliable, and regular risk reporting, highlighting performance trends and identify escalation items for management.
  • Prepare leadership and executive-level briefing papers summarizing key risks, mitigations, and risk performance.
  • Conduct schedule and cost risk workshops, including Quantitative Schedule Risk Assessments (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Assessments (QCRA).

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in development and implementation of risk management practices, risk identification, risk mitigation, and strategies on construction projects/programs
  • Recognized degree in project management, quantity surveying, engineering or related discipline.
  • Related experience working within large international airport or equivalent major infrastructure projects
  • Certified Risk Management Lead (CRM) or similar designation.
  • Experienced in the facilitation of risk workshops and comfortable coordinating large groups of stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
