Position Summary
The Revenue Growth Management Analyst manages trade deductions, including validating, analyzing, resolving, and reporting deductions related to trade promotions, customer disputes, and pricing claims. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of trade spending in the CPG environment, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Retail partners.
This role is based at Galderma downtown Toronto office (161 Bay Street) with at least three days per week working on site. The base salary range for the position is 95,000 - 118,000 CAD annually.
Essential Functions
Trade Deduction Management:
Review, validate, and process trade-related customer deductions (promotions, short pay, pricing discrepancies).
Dispute and recover repayment for invalid claims through collaboration with retail customers, brokers, and sales teams.
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) and external customers to investigate and resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions.
Analytics & Reporting:
Analyze deduction trends, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
Develop and deliver regular reporting KPIs on deduction aging, resolution rates, recovery metrics, and trade spend.
Systems & Process Oversight:
Maintain accurate records within systems (e.g. Oracle) and trade promotion management tools.
Lead or support the implementation and optimization of trade deduction and TPM systems.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with the Sales and Trade Marketing teams to align promotional funding, customer agreements, and accruals.
Work closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate cash application and dispute resolution.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Participate in the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation and support.
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in trade deductions management, preferably within the CPG or retail industry.
Strong knowledge of trade promotion mechanics, deductions, and customer billing practices in the Canadian retail landscape.
Experience with ERP and TPM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blacksmith, Vistex).
Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across teams
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset, especially when working with Quebec-based customers.
Experience with Canadian retailers such as Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, or Walmart Canada.
CPA designation or accounting background is an asset.
