Our users plan everything from small shoots to massive festivals in 70+ countries - and they all rely on Rentman to keep their gear, people, and timing perfectly in sync. We work in English, and our culture is open, inclusive, and flat - built on curiosity, ownership, and the freedom to challenge ideas.

Mission of the role

Rentman is a global market leader seeing rapid growth in North America, and we intend to accelerate it further. That takes more than product: it takes customers who reach value fast, and a company that deeply understands how North American event and media productions actually work. As Rentman Industry Expert in our Professional Services team, you deliver both.

For customers, you are the solution expert who helps them realize the full value of Rentman. You deliver paid trainings to existing customers that accelerate onboarding, boost account health and broaden usage across teams. Everything comes from our standardized service catalogue: the offering is standard, the application is tailored to each customer. These services come on top of what every Rentman customer already gets free of charge: support, the support center, and for some a dedicated CSM.

What makes this role unique is the dual scope: you are both a customer-facing trainer and Rentman's North American Industry Expert. When you are not delivering services, you work across the entire company, bringing market insight into Product as an equal voice in roadmap and feature scoping, joining presales conversations to give prospects credible, in-depth answers, and supporting the commercial team as we move up-market. Everything you learn in the field becomes everyone's edge.

What you'll do
  • Integrate Rentman knowledge with customer-centricity and commercial acumen to provide tailored training that enhances customer usage, satisfaction and professional services revenue.

  • Act as the North American Industry Expert inside Rentman: use your first-hand industry background to refine the Product Roadmap - sharpening feature scoping, product briefings and market insight and to improve commercial outcomes by joining presales conversations and giving prospects in-depth, credible answers.

  • Always look for opportunities to expand and optimise our professional services and serve more customers in a standardised way.

  • Maintain top-level knowledge of Rentman's functionality and industry challenges to advise customers effectively and keep this knowledge current.

  • Excel in administration and process efficiency to ensure internal processes (availability, booking, invoicing) run smoothly, and the customer journey is frictionless.

  • Adopt a customer-friendly attitude and deliver high-quality training to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Who you are
  • You've worked inside the AV, production company or event rental industry for at least 3-5 years in North America and know its workflows from the inside

  • You're curious about how customers actually get their work done and where the tool could serve them better

  • You take ownership of your pipeline and your numbers

  • You're not afraid to be the person in the room pushing Product to think about a market they don't see every day

  • You communicate clearly, both with customers and internally

  • You keep your training administration, scheduling and invoicing organised so the customer journey stays frictionless

Nice to haves
  • Experience training or onboarding customers on a SaaS platform

  • Familiarity with Rentman or similar equipment rental or event management software

  • Exposure to more than one segment, such as dry hire, staging, broadcast, or corporate AV

  • A network in the North American AV and event rental industry

What you'll get
  • Competitive salary based on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance

  • A results-based bonus based on company performance (up to a full 13th month's salary)

  • 25 vacation days to recharge

  • Earn an extra day of PTO for each year at Rentman, from your second anniversary up to five years

  • A 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years to go on an adventure

  • Flexible WFH policy & work from anywhere for 4 weeks a year

  • A comprehensive healthcare plan and a pension plan with 3% company matching

  • An annual training budget to grow your skills

  • Access to OpenUp for mental well-being and personal growth

  • Your choice of a shiny new Windows, or Mac

  • An ambitious, inclusive, and diverse international team

  • A flexible and engaging work environment and various team activities

  • An amazing office in the heart of Toronto
