JOB PURPOSE:
As Modern Workplace Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for complex IT infrastructure operations support and executing the IT infrastructure projects to support the organization's business objectives and growth initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering these services in our main corporate office, with our company senior leaders as your major customers.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise in IT Infrastructure, networking, system administration, and effective communication abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly provide onsite senior support or work with third party vendors to support a variety of IT hardware and software, such as, but not limited to: Teams meeting rooms, personal computer hardware/software and peripherals, mobile phones, network printers, server and network hardware, computer room/network wiring closet facilities, and phone systems.
    • Execute on the deployment of infrastructure components, including hardware procurement, installation, configuration, and testing, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and scalability.
    • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot our entire fleet of unified communication solutions and modern workplace systems in the region (Teams meeting rooms, Poly and Crestron equipment, Microsoft voice solutions, Mobility solutions, etc.)
    • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot end user devices such as PCs, Printers, Mobile devices etc.
    • Implement automations of provisioning of PC/Desktop
    • Work with Network and Unified communications team to provide zero downtime services to end users
  • Provide the services mentioned with a focus to senior support. Taking full ownership on the technology requirements, technology support, the relation with the executive assistants, and pro-active activity to ensure a seamless technology experience for our internal customers at the designated location.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and system administrators, to execute project requirements as per alignment with local business needs, adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop a sustainable and productive working relationship with end users of all IS services.
  • Conduct software testing and installation in support of application packing and deployment.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project team members, mentoring them in best practices and methodologies for infrastructure deployment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers to procure necessary equipment, licenses, and support services for infrastructure operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures for infrastructure deployment processes, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of deployed infrastructure solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization, improvement, and scalability.


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years or more of total IT experience and minimum 5+ years of experience in Videoconferencing solutions like MS Teams meeting rooms and PC/Desktop/Mobile support
  • Strong technical expertise in a large enterprise environment managing 100+ MTRs and 1000+ users
    • Modern workplace systems (Teams Meeting rooms, PCs, Mobile Devices and MS Voice)
    • Experience configuring and/or working with Q-SYS, Crestron or similar Audio Video integration solutions utilizing Sennheiser, Shure and/or similar microphone sub components
    • Modern workplace desktop and mobile device support
    • Proactively driving the highest availability of all services
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools, with the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization about complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to real-time troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Being able to communicate on a clear way to report on root cause analysis and learnings from resolved incidents.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in PC/Desktop as a service, infrastructure and operations, including Cloud, AIOps, SRE, ITSM Maturity and automations. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cloud, Agile, ITIL, SRE) are a huge plus but not mandatory
  • Must have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to work as per business demands and on call support
