As a strategic partner supporting all of Huawei Canada, the Human Resource Department plays a pivotal role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards. About the job:

  • Design and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies for technical and research positions, with a focus on AI and software roles

  • Source candidates through multiple channels including professional networks, online platforms, industry events, and academic institutions

  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers throughout the selection process

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, research institutions, and professional communities to create talent pipelines

  • Stay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive recruiting practices in the tech and AI sectors

  • Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding

  • Track recruitment metrics and regularly report on hiring progress

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective job descriptions

The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate:

  • 1+ years of recruiting experience, specializing in technical roles (AI, software engineering, computer science, data science, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of technical roles and qualifications in AI and software development

  • Strong networking skills with ability to build relationships in technical communities

  • Experience recruiting for research scientist positions in academic or industry settings

  • Background in technology, computer science, or related field
