Queen's Vex U Robotics Team (QVEX) Director of Logistics

The Queens VEX U Robotics Team (QVEX) is an award-winning competitive robotics team under the Engineering Society and Alma Mater Society. With over 80 inter-disciplinary members from engineering, commerce, and science, QVEX is the largest and most successful collegiate robotics team in Canada. The team was founded in 2019 to revolutionize engagement in robotics at Queen's, while also developing a globally recognized competitive program.

Job Description

The Director of Logistics reports to the Administration co-captain and is responsible for managing the team's travel logistics and general safety. They will work with the co-captains to determine what competitions the team will be attending and will handle all transport, lodging, shipping of necessary items, and some meals.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Be responsible for organizing travel to competitions. 

• Be responsible for handling the transport of robots and equipment to competitions.  
• Work very closely with the director of finance and the Administration co-captain

• Designated safety officer 

The Director of Logistics can expect to gain skills in the areas of:

• Project Management
• Logistics

Time commitment ranges from 1-10 hours a week
