The Queen’s Biomedical Innovation Team (QBiT) is an interdisciplinary design team that designs, prototypes, and tests innovative biomedical devices to address healthcare concerns both globally and within our local community.

Position Description: 

The Director of Marketing will report to the Chief Communications Officer. The Director of Marketing is responsible for managing QBiT’s social media presence, public branding, promotional materials, and website content. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Developing and implementing QBiT’s marketing and branding strategy 
  • Creating and scheduling posts for QBiT’s social media accounts, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook 
  • Designing promotional materials, including graphics, posters, stories, videos, and recruitment materials 
  • Maintaining and updating the QBiT website to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and visually consistent 
  • Ensuring project pages, team information, and recruitment materials reflect current initiatives 
  • Collaborating with the Director of Outreach on promotional campaigns for events and recruitment 
  • Regularly attending communications meetings and providing updates 


Ideal qualities: 

  • Proficient in social media and graphic design tools, such as Canva or Figma 
  • Strong eye for branding, visual consistency, and public-facing communication 
  • Organized and detail-oriented 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and willing to take initiative 
  • Experience with website editing or design is an asset, but not required

Interviews will take place during June 21st, June 26th, June 27th and June 28th .
