Ledcor is hiring a Quality Coordinator to join our team on a major GO Transit project. This site-based opportunity in Oshawa offers the chance to grow your career while contributing to infrastructure that will serve Ontarians for generations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards
  • Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to verify adherence to contract requirements and identify potential quality issues
  • Track, document, and manage non-conformances, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored for effectiveness
  • Maintain and organize quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, compliance documentation, and turnover packages
  • Prepare and submit quality reports for project leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies, while monitoring quality performance indicators and trends
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure materials, workmanship, and construction activities meet project requirements
  • Review vendor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Participate in quality review meetings and support the development and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the standardization of quality documentation, inspection methodologies, and reporting processes across the project
  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality procedures, inspection requirements, documentation standards, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection and support compliance with the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP)

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction, infrastructure, transit, or industrial sectors
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects for a General Contractor in Canada
  • Previous experience supporting construction activities in active rail corridors or on heavy civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience on Metrolinx projects is highly regarded and preferred; familiarity with Metrolinx quality requirements, standards, and compliance processes is considered a significant asset
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, CSA standards, and other applicable quality frameworks
  • Strong understanding of construction codes, inspection techniques, materials, methods, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, and technical documentation
  • Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, non-conformance investigations, and corrective action tracking
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
  • Must possess a valid provincial driver's license

Working Conditions:

  • Site-based position with frequent visits to active construction sites in Oshawa, Ontario
  • Willing to work in varying weather conditions and construction environments
  • Regular standing, walking, and working in outdoor construction environments
  • Use of inspection tools, standard office equipment, and quality management software

Compensation

$76,500.00 - $102,000.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
