Job Description

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for performing the required Quality Program responsibilities and for providing support to the field Operations, to ensure the operations are carried out in accordance with the established Quality Program standards. Working with internal stakeholders, this role will support in the review of various Quality processes, including documentation, process audits, and auditing system functionality. This position requires the successful candidate to be fully fluent in written and conversational French and English.

This role is also responsible for promoting, developing, and overseeing compliance of Dexterra Quality system in Remote and Hospitality locations across Canada by assuring compliance to customer requirements, and by maintaining and improving Quality policies, standards, procedures, programs, and practices. Models, teaches, and drives Dexterra programs, policies and safety culture.

This position is safety sensitive and will require drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Program Support

  • Participate in the development and implementation of project-specific quality programs while ensuring client requirements are met.
  • Design and implement audit system configurations for projects, including associated Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Lead initial and follow-up meetings with lodging site operations teams to ensure a clear understanding of the Quality Program.
  • Provide initial training and ongoing support related to the program and audits as required.
  • Participate in visits to operational sites.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to resolve quality and compliance issues.
  • Track corrective actions and improvement plans resulting from audits and inspections.
  • Analyze audit results and performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to the Quality Program.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Follow up on project participation and notify of non-conformance where applicable

  • Monitor participation in the program and report non-conformances when required.
  • Track quality-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Verify that visual aids, checklists, and quality control audits are current and relevant.
  • Review completed audits to validate compliance requirements and identify gaps.
  • Support sites in resolving non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.

Quality Program updates and reporting

  • Prepare operational reports related to the Quality Program as needed.
  • Maintain and update quality performance dashboards and reports.
  • Produce analyses to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Present results, trends, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate audit system improvements and updates to teams.
  • Train managers and designated auditors on the use of audit system tools and reports.

Qualifications

Required skills and abilities:

  • Able to contribute strategically by creating, communicating, and executing the corporate strategy
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Fact based and data driven, with a high attention to detail
  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management and decision-making skills
  • Bilingual in both written and conversational English and French
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite; word and excel essential
  • Self-starter, and able to succeed in a fluid and fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills
  • Possess strong people management and relations skills
  • Able to effectively manage fluctuating workloads and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Able to work with a flexible work schedule including some weekends, and 60% field travel or more.
