Title: QA/QC Inspection Specialist

Location: Greater Toronto Area

Company: Triumph Group of Companies

Role Overview

The QA/QC Inspection Specialist supports Triumph's roofing service and inspection division, splitting time between the field and the office. You'll assess roofing and building envelope conditions, price and scope short duration service work (jobs that typically run one to two days), and coordinate small crews of two to three people through leak investigations, deficiency repairs, and small project work. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Field Teams to keep quality consistent across crews and job types. The people who thrive in this role combine sharp technical judgment with the discipline to document what they find and follow through on it. Success looks like service work that's scoped accurately, priced competitively, and completed with minimal callbacks or deficiencies. Over time, you'll help improve service responsiveness and quality consistency across the roofing division.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $75,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience
  • Stable, long-term role with a growing organization
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Exposure to a wide range of roofing systems and service environments
  • Hybrid schedule combining field inspections with office based scoping and reporting
  • A culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and execution
  • Room to grow within the roofing service and inspection division

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in roofing, service, or building envelope construction
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems (SBS, TPO, EPDM, BUR), shingles, and metal roofing
  • Working knowledge of building envelope science, including waterproofing, flashing details, and system integration
  • Experience conducting technical inspections, investigations, and diagnostic assessments, with the ability to scope, estimate, and price small to mid-sized jobs
  • Experience coordinating labour, materials, and scheduling, along with strong site inspection and report writing skills

Attributes

  • Brings strong technical judgment and attention to detail when assessing roofing and building envelope conditions
  • Communicates professionally and confidently with clients, consultants, and internal teams, including in sensitive or dispute related situations
  • Takes ownership of quality outcomes by identifying issues early and driving practical, effective solutions
  • Stays organized and disciplined in documentation, reporting, and tracking of inspection activity
  • Approaches challenges with a proactive, analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed roofing and building envelope investigations, from standard deficiency reviews to complex diagnostic assessments
  • Analyze field conditions, identify root causes of failures or performance issues, and recommend corrective action
  • Prepare clear, consultant level reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommended solutions
  • Act as the key liaison between clients and the company on warranty reviews, disputes, and technical discussions
  • Perform scheduled QA/QC inspections across active roofing and building envelope projects, using standardized inspection protocols that align with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain quality control checklists, updating them to keep consistency across crews, project types, and locations
  • Identify recurring quality issues and execution gaps, and provide structured feedback to Roofing Production Management
  • Support the identification of training needs and workmanship improvements based on inspection findings
  • Track and document inspection activity, including time allocation by project, to support internal reporting and service billing
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Field Teams to align on quality expectations and corrective actions
