Location: Toronto, Beaver Creek 

In this position, you’ll be based in the Toronto (East Beaver Creek) office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. A role you will love  

CCS provides integrated customer communication solutions worldwide. We consult, design, build and orchestrate smart communications solutions across traditional and emerging channels to help clients drive increased customer engagement and optimize operational efficiencies. We enable our clients to meet legislative compliance and regulatory requirements across their full communications suite.

Reporting to the QA Team Leader, the QA Analyst will be detailed oriented and have a strong client focus in order to guide clients through the integration and user acceptance testing phases of their assigned projects. In this role, you will support and provide testing and quality assurance services on commercial and internal contracts deliverables for our communication services clients.

Other key responsibilities include: 

Requirements Gathering and Planning 

  • Effectively obtain information from functional specifications on requirements
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and develop test strategies

Documentation and Implementation Validation

  • Creating, maintaining and executing test plans
  • Designing and executing test cases to ensure systems and product quality and conformance with requirements
  • Identifying, documenting and tracking defects
  • Benchmark testing with focus on performance 
  • Maintaining and executing regression tests for any system upgrades

Communication and Problem Solving

  • Working with the client’s QA department to co-ordinate end-to-end testing
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback regarding progress or issues to: peers, Senior Programmers, Project Manager and Commercial Development Manager
  • Debugging complex problems to characterize potential root cause

Regional and Global Alignment

  • Work collaboratively with other local, regional and global teams in CCS and across the CPU business to deliver required projects.
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Supporting the organization’s goals and values

Support

  • Adhere and help with improvements to departmental and company standards, processes and procedures.
  • Supporting client testing through the entire UAT phase of a project
  • Learn and understand all internal systems and processes. 

What will you bring to the role? 

  • Completion of a university degree in an IT related field
  • 4+ years of quality assurance testing experience in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance principles, methods, and processes
  • Strong database knowledge and SQL/DB querying experience
  • Previous experience with Jenkins, Sharepoint, ADO, PDF compare tools
  • Thorough understanding of black box, white box, and end-to-end solution testing
  • Ability to read and analyze data structures (Flat, XML and Multiple Record Structures)
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience in testing Quadient Inspire CCM platform
  • Related testing certification(s) (such as ISTQB)
  • Experience in Automation of Software application testing with Tools
