The QA Analyst works closely with the Project Delivery, Accounts, and Web Development teams to ensure project requirements and web industry standards are met. This role touches on a variety of subjects and requires an understanding of the various stages of the web development project lifecycle, as well as the responsibilities of various team members who make these projects possible.

What You Will Do...

  • Lead hands-on testing efforts and initiatives on a variety of projects, through the full project life-cycle
  • Create appropriate test plans for new builds and maintenance retainers. Design and develop test cases against build requirements.
  • Test client native and web applications across browser and device types, ensuring they meet design and functional expectations
  • Validate the functionality of the site, identifying issues and reporting them back to the Accounts Lead and Development Lead for resolution
  • Manually test web-based applications and conduct API testing to ensure that functionality works as expected, and write synthetic tests using Cypress.
  • Create and track bug tickets, working with Development until issues are resolved and brought to production
  • Participate in defect triage meetings with key stakeholders to provide testing updates, report bugs, sort priorities, and manage client expectations
  • Review design files and ensure the end product meets the initial client expectations delineated in wire-frames and Figma designs
  • Follow accessibility compliance to the standards delineated by the WCAG
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in development or quality assurance roles.
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, data analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, AEM) with experience across a range of digital media platforms.
  • Experience developing test cases, doing functional, mobile, front-end and back-end testing, and performing manual and automated testing of web and native applications.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 1+ year experience with Cypress test automation.
  • Basic knowledge of Postman and API testing.
  • Familiar with agile development best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Possess a self-starter attitude with an eagerness for continuous learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
