Design and own test automation strategy and infrastructure: build Playwright-based E2E suites, integrate CI/CD, use AI to generate tests, validate performance and reliability, and collaborate with product and engineering to improve testing practices.
Stan AI is building the next generation of AI-powered software for property managers. We help property management companies automate operations, streamline tenant communications, and make smarter decisions — all powered by AI. We're a fast-moving team of ~25, backed by strong customer traction, and we're scaling fast.
We believe AI should augment great people, not replace them. That philosophy applies to how we build our product and how we run our company.
We're looking for a QA Developer to build and own our testing infrastructure. This is not a manual testing role — you'll architect our test automation framework, develop comprehensive end-to-end test suites, and leverage AI to make testing smarter and faster.
You'll work directly with our engineering team to ensure product quality at every release. You'll design tests that catch bugs before they reach production, maintain test infrastructure, and continuously improve our testing practices using modern tools like Playwright and AI-assisted test generation.
Tasks
* Test Automation Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy covering unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Own the testing roadmap as the product scales.
* Playwright Framework: Build and maintain our Playwright-based end-to-end test suite. Write tests that are reliable, maintainable, and catch real user scenarios.
* AI-Driven Testing: Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate test development. Generate test cases, improve test logic, and explore edge cases using LLM capabilities.
* Test Infrastructure: Set up CI/CD integration, test parallelization, reporting dashboards, and failure analysis. Make it easy for engineers to run and understand tests.
* Performance & Reliability Testing: Build tests that validate performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify bottlenecks and regressions early.
* Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and engineering to define testable requirements. Advocate for quality and testing best practices.Documentation & Training: Document test architecture, best practices, and maintain test code quality standards. Help the team write better tests.
Requirements
* 3+ years of QA or QA automation experience (software quality assurance, test automation, or QA engineering)
* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience — you'll write test code that's clean and maintainable
* Hands-on Playwright experience (or equivalent modern test automation framework like Cypress, Selenium)
* Understanding of test design principles (unit testing, integration testing, E2E testing, test pyramid)
* Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
* Strong problem-solving skills — you'll debug flaky tests, complex scenarios, and system interactions
* Excellent communication — you'll work across engineering teams and explain testing gaps clearly
Strong Assets:
* Experience using AI/LLMs to accelerate test development or test case generation
* Familiarity with JavaScript testing libraries (Playwright, Vitest, etc)
* Experience testing modern web applications (React, TypeScript, API-driven architectures)
* Knowledge of performance testing and load testing tools
* API testing experience (REST, GraphQL)
* Experience in B2B SaaS or operations software
* Familiarity with Stan Ai's tech stack (Node.js, React, TypeScript, Hono, MongoDB)
* Experience with test reporting, dashboards, and metrics
Nice to Have:
* Experience with test data management and fixtures
* Knowledge of accessibility testing (a11y)
* Background in property management or operations domains
* Experience advocating for testing culture in an organization
Benefits
* Competitive salary
* Comprehensive health, dental, and specialist benefits.
* Company Macbook.
* Free parking and shuttle service to the office.
* Extra PTO during occasional US holidays.
* Company events, in-office restaurant, and building-wide perks.
* Unlimited ping pong and espresso!
