Position Summary:

*This position requires a Bi-lingual speaker (e.g. English and French writing & reading fluency). As a member of Lexmark’s Managed Print Services (MPS) organization, the Project Manager (PM) will lead a team of internal (non-dedicated) personnel and external partners to deploy printers/MFPs and/or take over management of existing devices for new and existing customers. The PM will serve as the primary interface for client personnel from contract signature through deployment of all contracted hardware, software and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, schedules, monitor, evaluate and direct projects to ensure a complete and satisfactory solution is implemented.
  • Follows Lexmark PMO prescribed process, procedures and methodology in the execution of all projects.
  • Produces a project plan of all phases, activities and tasks necessary for executing the project and manages the project schedule.
  • Establishes a baseline budget, timeline and set of customer expectations at project initiation and manages to that baseline.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the order template has been created correctly and is correct for the initial order to be placed.
  • Reviews all required hardware orders.
  • Leads the Lexmark PM/PC team in the execution of all assigned projects.
  • Manages the Lexmark Implementation team personnel; ensuring all services required by contract are initiated within the established timeline, budget and technical objectives.
  • Conducts progress reviews with client and team personnel, providing contingency and problem resolution plans as required.
  • Develops and manages the project's change control procedures.
  • Assists management in making reality -based decisions regarding the development of timeline and budget in the Pre-Sales process.
  • Manages scope, budget, margin, and all project resources.
  • Manages the relationship among client, all team members, and management.
  • Ascertains (with the team) areas of risk and develops appropriate contingencies.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of the Asset Registry used as the basis for the ARMS upload. All Asset Registries need to be updated no later than a week after installation of devices. A final asset registry will be created within 5 days of the completion of installation.
  • Send weekly updates to the PMO Manager.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be a Bi-lingual speaker (e.g. English and French writing & reading fluency)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in commerce or equivalent experience
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the deployment of print devices
  • PMP preferred.
  • Experience with Managed Print Services projects and hardware deployments preferred.
  • Strong task management, problem solving and process management skills, with ability to direct work through non-dedicated resources.
  • Experience managing delivery of services through external partners (carriers, installation partner technicians, disposal partners, etc.).
  • Strong customer-centric, professional communication skills and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a potentially high stress/demanding environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to balance budget considerations while meeting the customer’s demands and project deadlines.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft products: Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are a must; Visio experience also preferable.
  • Ability to travel, on average, around 25% or less.
