Job Description

The role of the Project Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the LTC Standards portfolio with a primary focus on redevelopment. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager on the execution of all redevelopment projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to leverage their experience and expertise and make their mark through the implementation of key strategic growth initiatives.

This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario, Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment. Travel is required.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of project activities, ensuring that all project timelines, and objectives are met.

  • Serve as a supporting contact for internal teams to provide updates, address issues, and ensure smooth project flow.

  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and potential delays.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, inventory management and status reports.

  • Support with administrative tasks (Organize and support meetings, townhalls, including scheduling, agenda creation, and follow-up on action items. Communication activities such as home newsletters, boards, photos, FAQs)

  • Identify and escalate project issues when necessary

  • Assist with risk management, ensuring any risks or potential problems are flagged and mitigated.

  • Manage other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you bring to the role:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Health or other related discipline required. 

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or administration. Working towards PMP an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze & leverage data to drive business recommendations

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication  skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

  • Proficient with MS Office suite and project management software

  • Previous experience managing confidential or sensitive information
