Location: Remote, Toronto
Working within the Compliance Department and reporting to the Manager of Internal Control and Risk Management, the Project Coordinator/Analyst will:
- Have the responsibility of conducting and implementing projects for IA Clarington.
- Ensure project control procedures and policies within a number of diverse and large projects are executed effectively according to project performance standards.

- Be responsible to ensure project control procedures and deliverables are executed within the parameters outlined throughout the project.
- Be accountable for the business-driven components of a project and work in partnership with the Project Manager to deliver a fully integrated business initiative.
Your Day to Day
- Schedule recurring meetings, attends and records minutes of same ensuring continuity and accuracy in the flow of information between stakeholders and follows up with individuals to ensure completion of action items.
- Assist the Project Manager in maintaining project documentation and reports, drafting agendas and responsible for the timely and accurate dissemination of meeting materials.
- Coordinate and assist with managing business projects using Project Management methodologies, from discovery to implementation. Build and maintain positive working relationships. You should enjoy collaborating with others. Engaged individual who embraces learning to work independently and to resolve issues/problems.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and an analytic skill set. Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing including the ability to respond politely and diplomatically to both internal and external inquiries.
- Demonstrate a passion for solving business problems and is able to identify key issues and trends.
- Display exceptional organizational skills and able to prioritize workload and work under time pressures to meet deadlines.
- Have the flexibility to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities, demonstrated time management skills to assist others in meeting deadlines. Coordinates and supports project team meetings including supporting workshops with large and diverse stakeholder groups, including business and other experts.
- Ensure the timely flow and distribution of correspondence as well as identifying and developing opportunities for improvement to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop project plans that effectively align scope, time, quality, resources and risk in a manner that enables highly coordinated execution and control.
- Monitor all projects results for significant deviations and ensure development of contingency plans where necessary.
- Successfully manage and escalate project changes, risks and issues as required.
What You Have
- 3 - 5 years of mutual fund and project management experience
- Abilit to convey information to all stakeholders and departments in a clear, concise manner.
- Collaborate with peers to exchange and discuss ideas/information on the preparation of appropriate responses to all members of the project group.
- Prepare reports, correspondence and presentations to the working group, stake holders and steering committees.
- Have the knowledge of project planning and management methods to coordinate with stakeholders ensuring effective planning, coordination and delivery.
- Monitor emerging and contentious issues and trends.
- You can identify, research, investigate and assess key issues to be addressed by the project working group.
- You can acquire and apply knowledge of acts, regulations and guidelines to ensure projects are within the rules and regulations detailed by the security regulators.
- Strong knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize wide range of tasks
- Ability to apply judgment and business knowledge to current situations.
- Demonstrated efficiency with facilitation and presentation skills
- Proven effective relationship skills with demonstrated ability to influence others successfully.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting customer expectations.
