Project Coordinator - Industrial East

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects by coordinating activities between the office and the field.
This position is well-suited for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships, solving problems, and helping project teams stay on track.
This role is site based and is located in PORT HOPE, OntarioWhat You Will Be Working On
  • Assist with project planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate project documentation, schedules, meeting minutes, action items, and project reporting.
  • Support procurement activities, subcontract administration, and change management processes.
  • Champion progress against planned schedules.
  • Coordinate communication between project stakeholders, including field teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Track outstanding items and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Support project meetings and contribute to the resolution of project challenges.
  • Assist in identifying risks, opportunities, and solutions to support successful project delivery.
  • Promote and support Bird's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Project Controls, or similar construction support role.
  • Postsecondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams.
  • Confidence in following up on outstanding items and driving tasks to completion.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative when challenges arise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions rather than simply report issues.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced and changing project environment.
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting industrial, heavy civil, residential or commercial construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Procore and InEight, is an asset.
