Ameresco Canada has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator – Finance and Reporting to provide financial and administrative support to projects and project managers by managing budgets, coordinating procurement, tracking expenditures, reconciling invoices, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing and tracking project budgets and expenditures. 
  • Collect, consolidate, and process matched and approved documents for payment. 
  • Reconcile company invoice records and payments with vendor statements. 
  • Provide project expense information to project managers and teams. 
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding approvals or discrepancies in workflows.
  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings and appointments. 
  • Act as a liaison between project managers, departments, and vendors. 
  • Organize and maintain financial files, reports, and project documentation. 
  • Ensure timely issuance and approval of purchase orders (POs). 
  • Prepare reconciliation and month-end closing reports as requested. 
  • Monitor daily project progress, budgets, and timelines. 
  • Ensure project transactions comply with established financial policies. 
  • Provide detailed updates on project progress and financial status to stakeholders. 
  • Preserve and organize vendor information files. 
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. 
  • Coordinate with the Finance department to initiate and track purchase orders and sub-contract agreements. 
  • Attend meetings as necessary.
  • Assist the project team as necessary, and
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minium Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education in business, engineering, technology, and/or related fields.
  • Must have experience in planning, scheduling and/or project coordination for construction projects.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Construction and Field experience an asset.
