The Opportunity
You are a service orientated individual who is excited to be a part of a growing organization. You have experience with Category Management and are looking for the opportunity to continue your learning and drive change within the plumbing, HVAC/
R and industrial wholesale industry.
 
 

Located at Wolseley Canada’s Burlington, Ontario corporate offices and reporting into the Category Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for managing the execution of all category initiatives that support the assortment strategy.  Activities include assortment analysis and category reviews, product life cycle execution, ad hoc reporting and merchandising support.  
 

The Program Specialist understands external market conditions relevant commodities as well as internal business conditions and requirements.  

What will you do:  

  • Analyzes key financial and operational metrics to determine the success of individual programs and products and identifying potential issues, opportunities and assortment improvements 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute category strategies 

  • Work closely with the Category Manager and internal stakeholders to support planogram execution according to our intentional product strategy.  

  • Support promotional activity within the category and collaborate with marketing and branch operations to effectively execute all flyer, endcap and over and above initiatives 

  • Supports vendor engagement and negotiations to achieve key program targets  
     

What will you bring 

  • Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline 

  • 3- years of relevant work experience  

  • Ability to think strategically with excellent analytical skills 

  • Working knowledge of Excel, tableau, Microsoft BI and PowerPoint 

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to operate comfortably at all levels within the organization. 

  • Work effectively with time constraints and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced work environment 

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Experience with Pipe, Valve, Fittings or similar commodity products would be an asset.  

  • Fluency in both French and English is an asset

Compensation: "68,000 to $78,000 Base Salary + 10% Bonus

Where a salary range is posted, the total compensation range posted for this role represents the total compensation opportunity, which may include base wage, bonuses, commissions, and/or other monetary components, if applicable.  Placement in the range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, candidate experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the role. 


Benefits eligibility varies based on employment status and contract length. Full-time permanent positions are eligible for the full benefits package.
