The Program Manager, Deposit Programs will work with critical deposit-holding or issuing partners to effectively manage the complexity of the fintech relationships while balancing the strategic priorities across the partnership. The successful candidate is responsible for providing exceptional partner experience while maintaining a high-level of in-depth knowledge of the relationship dynamics, pain points, and strategic planning.
The Role
The role will sit in our Issuing team and report to the Issuing and Deposits Strategic Account Lead. This team is responsible for delivering and maintaining world-class partnerships and is responsible for innovating with product teams along with establishing strategic direction for cards and actively managing the external ecosystem partners including networks, banks and vendors.
You will

  • Develop business relationships with decision makers within companies that are vying for market share within the fintech industry
  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of FBO account programs, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and seamless operations.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, risk, legal, and compliance teams to align on program management, ensuring all systems and processes meet regulatory and bank standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on FBO account programs, providing guidance and support to internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Meet with internal and external stakeholders to respond and resolve complaints and conflicts in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Works to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects, lead/negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution
  • Build deep relationships, across teams and different levels of the organization
  • Partner directly, and where necessary lead, strategic banking partners to deliver in tandem with Cash App
  • Work closely and provide technical guidance to Product teams during any changes or new implementations to the card or deposit programs
  • Understanding of the Issuing and deposit contracts including obligations to partners while balancing unit economics
  • Manage invoicing and POs for the markets, ensuring that they are within budget and invoiced correctly
  • Optimise programs including operations and cost efficiency
  • Participate and contribute to Monthly and Quarterly business meetings


You have

  • 8+ Years experience in issuing payment cards
  • Experience of credit card, prepaid & debit cards
  • Proven experience in account management in the fintech ecosystem
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Strategic and analytical thinking abilities
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend data-driven solutions
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, with a track record of delivering results on time and within scope
