You’ll love it here! We are hiring immediately for a Product Tester!

As a Product Tester, you’ll play a key role in testing electronic devices within our fast‑paced Geek Squad City environment at our distribution centre. You’ll thoroughly test products to determine whether they are defective or operational, ensure units are accurately dispositioned, and help restore devices to a saleable state when applicable. You’ll also support additional technical service duties and contribute to smooth workflow across the department.

Shift Requirements
  • 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • 6 month contract
     
What you’ll do as a Product Tester
 
Product Testing & Disposition
  • Test electronic products to accurately determine whether each unit is defective or fully operational.
  • Physically and electronically disposition units to the appropriate next step in the workflow.
  • Remove stored customer information and restore devices to saleable condition when required.
  • Support additional technical service tasks as needed.
     
Technical Support & Workflow Assistance
  • Assist with electronic testing, and repair processes across major brands
  • Perform testing and wiping of used games and related media.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy regulations, including PIPEDA.
     
Material Handling & Operational Duties
  • Safely perform material handling tasks (up to 50 lbs).
  • Support operational projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and system updates using tools such as SMARTS, Windows Control software, and Microsoft Office.
     
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a service center or similar technical environment.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience testing electronics (cell phone testing/repair experience is an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of privacy compliance (PIPEDA).
  • Experience with testing/wiping used games.
  • Technical knowledge in electronics testing, refurbishment, and repair.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
     
Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A Consumer Electronics Diploma or Computer Studies (with electronics focus) is preferred.

Base pay range

Hourly pay rate: $18.00 - $18.68
