Time Type:RegularJob Description :Operating within a fast-paced Agile environment, the Product Owner for Wireless System is the primary driver of integration, enhancement, and overall performance of our mobile product suite. You will act as the bridge between high-level business strategy and technical execution—collaborating with marketing, network, device, and vendor teams to launch new functionalities, automate manual processes, and maintain a high-performing product roadmap. This is a high-impact role requiring an "iron fist in a velvet glove" approach: someone who can navigate a complex matrix environment with diplomacy while maintaining a relentless focus on delivery, data-driven decisions, and operational excellence.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for integration & enhancements and overall product performance for Cogeco Mobile.
Deliver new product capabilities & functionalities such as new pricing construct, and ensure all related activities get delivered (ex: Update service agreement…).
In collaboration with network and device teams, integrate new products such as devices within existing systems.
Ensure continuous improvements get tested and validated.
Provide operation support and portability support.
Define IVR design and provide requirements to IVR team to support integration of mobility within existing environment.
Document processes to ensure knowledge transfer.
Automate manual processes to reduce recurring efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, development, marketing, QA, and stakeholders, to define product requirements and specifications.
Organize the squad’s priorities to deliver iterative improvement, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
Maintain a prioritized product backlog of user stories and features.
Maintain a roadmap of developments.
Translate high-level business goals into actionable product strategies, making data-driven decisions to ensure maximum impact.
Continuously monitor user feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC TRAINING
Post secondary degree ideally in marketing, engineering or digital.
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ year relevant experience in product development roles.
5+ years in project management.
Experience with wireless/mobile industry (asset).
Experienced with a matrix work environment.
People management experience.
SPECIFIC SKILLS
A team player, able to build consensus - someone easy to collaborate with, but driven to deliver. An iron fist in a velvet glove.
A curious and entrepreneurial spirit - if something needs to get done, figure out how to get it done.
An independent person able to work under minimal supervision.
Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with different timelines.
Ability to figure out what is important from what can wait and prioritize accordingly.
Familiar with the google/microsoft suite of products (excel, word, powerpoint) and Figma.
Familiar with agile tools like Jira & Confluence.
Bilingual as an asset.
