For over 80 years, John Brooks Company has been solving fluid handling challenges for customers in various industries/markets across Canada by providing a diverse selection of engineered products and innovative system designs, focusing on customized solutions consisting of filtration, pump, spray, and valve products.


Our Dynablast division builds and distributes pressure washers and other commercial / industrial products for specialty and equipment rental markets.



THE ROLE

Reporting to the National Sales Manager the position is responsible for managing and coordinating the Dynablast Division’s equipment product portfolio with the goal of growing sales and profitability by ensuring all products are competitive and relevant to the markets Dynablast serves.  The EPM also manages the financial functions of the product portfolio, including Pricing, Gross Margin Management, inventory recommendations and marketing expenses. This is a Hybrid Position reporting to our Mississauga office 2x a week.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Conducts competitive intelligence analysis on competitive features/benefits and product line comparisons.

·        Defines the product portfolio for each brand taking into consideration the competitive situation, costing, margin goals and brand strategy and positioning

·        Works with Technical and Production Departments to build innovation and differentiation into the product lineups

·        Establishes pricing and promotion policies and tactics

·        Creates and executes promotional activities including product launches and promotions.

·        Aids in creation and manages all marketing support materials – brochures / web / manuals

·        Create demand forecasts by model to ensure stock availability, within a limited inventory budget

·        Provides training and sales support to inside and outside sales staff

·        Visits customers and attends trade shows to keep on top of market trends and customer needs


Requirements

Essential:

·       Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.

·       Minimum of 5 years of related experience with Industrial Equipment .

·       Strong knowledge of Canadian distribution channels and channel management principles.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

·       Strong leadership and management skills.

·       Ability to analyze complex data and provide clear recommendations.

·       Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

·       Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.

·        Adaptability to changing business needs and market conditions.


Desirable:

·       Project management experience in a related field.

·       Experience with pricing strategies, market analysis, and product selection.

·       Familiarity with John Brooks’ products, industry, and competitors.

·       Knowledge of graphics software and web content management.

·       Technical skills and ability to assess customer needs.

·       Bilingualism (English/French).

·        Enthusiastic, confident, and results-driven attitude

·        Daily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetings
