Dabadu Inc. is looking to grow with the help of an experienced Product Owner to join our growing Product Development team. We are looking for a Product Owner to take our product vision and continue to carry it through development. We are a startup working every day with the sole goal of disrupting age-old industries with our creative and innovative products without the noise and constraints of the norm.

Product Owner Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of the user inwardly to the development team and the voice of the product outwardly to the stakeholders and end-users.
  • Use the benefits of Agile and Scrum methodologies as a baseline but not be afraid to find adaptations to create great software without getting lost in the “because that's what you do” mindset.
  • Be part of creating the processes that make the software development lifecycle better than the standard.
  • Alongside the Head of Product, create a product vision and roadmap to make our products stand out from the pack in the marketplace.
  • Turn this product vision into requirements and development stories with the right level of detail while leaving space for development to create great software as opposed to simply following directions.
  • Prioritize the product backlog with a true MVP viewpoint and accept that there is no perfect or complete software.
  • Be passionate about the user experience while being empathetic to the user persona and find ways to provide benefits to improve their day-to-day.
  • Have the confidence to say “no” and back your stance on the product direction.
  • Own the product both in development and presentation and training with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Do not be afraid to fail, but ensure something is learned.

Dabadu is looking for someone who wants to be on the ground floor of the growth state of an exciting company and product. Help create our processes and grow with us. We are not looking for someone to be “plugged in” to an existing and refined process, but rather someone who wants to craft HOW we build our products.

Product Owner Qualifications / Skills:

  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen; automotive industry experience a plus but not required.
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Experience in Atlassian Jira and Confluence platforms.
  • A user-centric mindset and the ability to create mockups at any level of fidelity to effectively communicate the product requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Automotive dealership experience
  • At least 3 year of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, and/or Product Development

We are building innovative tools for the automotive industry, and we need innovative thinkers like you.
