Key Accountabilities
Campaign Development & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the Savings portfolio, ensuring alignment with BMO’s strategic objectives.
- Co-lead the design and delivery of campaigns and offers from ideation through launch, working closely with the Senior Manager.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing campaigns, offers and digital experiences to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Pricing & Performance Analytics
- Manage promotional pricing for the Savings portfolio, including offer constructs.
- Conduct detailed pricing analysis and develop recommendations to optimize revenue and customer value.
- Build robust business cases for pricing changes and new initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
P&L Management
- Maintain accountability for the Savings portfolio’s P&L, ensuring revenue and expense targets are met.
- Explain financial results, forecast future performance, and recommend actions to improve profitability.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and manage product and operational risks associated with the Savings portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support the evolution of policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk exposure.
Reporting & Insights
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Savings portfolio.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights and create executive-ready presentations to support strategic decisions.
Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure alignment on priorities and timely delivery of initiatives.
- Act as a trusted collaborator, supporting cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications
Experience and Knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in retail product management, preferably in the financial service industry.
- Strong analytical background with experience in business casing, pricing analysis, customer lifecycle campaigns and performance tracking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including advanced functions, macros, pivot tables, and modeling; experience with Power BI or SQL is an asset.
- Strong experience in product design, campaign management, project management & delivery, P&L and risk management.
Skills
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Hands-on experience with project management and change management in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling executive-level decks.
- Knowledge of digital product development and customer experience design is an asset.
The Product Manager, Savings, is part of the Everyday Banking Products team within Canadian Personal Banking, reporting to the Senior Manager, Savings Product Management. This role is responsible for driving customer acquisition, balance growth and retention, while ensuring the portfolio remains competitive, profitable, and aligned with BMO’s overall strategy, values and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The Product Manager leads the development and execution of product and offer strategies across the savings lifecycle, including the design, launch, and optimization of promotional and always-on campaigns to support new money acquisition, balance growth and retention. The role oversees campaign performance end-to-end, working closely with Marketing, Digital, and Customer Optimization to ensure effective targeting, execution and measurement. A core accountability of the role includes promotional pricing strategy ownership, including ongoing rate management, competitive assessment, and scenario analysis. The Product Manager builds and owns business cases for pricing changes, offers, and strategic initiatives, leveraging strong analytical skills to assess financial impact, customer behavior, and risk trade‑offs. The role is also responsible for developing and maintaining management reporting and performance dashboards, translating insights into clear recommendations that inform senior leadership decision‑making.
The Product Manager has profit & loss (P&L) accountability for the Savings portfolio and is responsible for managing product performance, interest expense, and associated product and operational risks. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence and collaborate across a broad set of stakeholders, including Finance, Compliance, Customer and Product Analytics, Modelling and Artificial Intelligence, Customer Optimization, Digital, Technology & Operations, Marketing, Operations, and Salesforce Effectiveness.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
