The Product Manager is a key contributor to the development and execution of CDS’s product strategy. This role focuses on managing specific products or product lines within the CDS services suite, ensuring they meet market needs, drive revenue growth, and enhance client satisfaction. The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Commercial Team, Technology, and Operations, to design, plan, deliver, and support innovative and efficient products and solutions that align with CDS’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Product Lifecycle Management:

    • Support the entire product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and ongoing maintenance.  

    • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, translating them into 

    • detailed specifications.

    • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and strategic plans.

  • Market Analysis and Customer Engagement:

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

    • Gather and analyze external and internal stakeholder feedback to understand needs and pain points, and identify opportunities.  

    • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide product updates.

  • Product Development and Execution:

    • Collaborate with technology teams to define and prioritize development tasks.

    • Work closely with operations to ensure smooth product implementation and support.

    • Develop and execute product launch plans, including marketing and communication strategies.

    • Monitor and manage product performance metrics.

    • Work with legal and compliance to ensure that all products meet the regulatory requirements.

    • Maintain a prioritized product backlog 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, sales, and marketing.

    • Communicate product updates and information to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Financial Analysis:

    • Develop product pricing in collaboration with the Commercial Team and conduct profitability analysis.

    • Monitor product revenue and expenses.

    • Provide input into budget planning and forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of product management experience, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of the Canadian capital markets and post-trade services.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management and agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid, and agile environment.  

  • Knowledge of regulatory environments within the financial sector.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of ATON (Account Transfer Service).  

  • Knowledge of Clearing and Settlement

Salary Range: 140,000/year -150,000/year CAD
