The Product Management Specialist will be deployed within product squads. You will be involved in product/feature trend analysis, product insights development, requirements development, data analysis, and performance tracking.

You’ll be responsible for:  

  • Supporting the cross-functional development team in ensuring that Sprint Backlog Items (SBIs) have adequate detail to facilitate squads in estimating their work.

  • With guidance, performing in sprint backlog decomposition, ensuring that all SBIs track towards achieving the stated objectives and key results.

  • In conjunction with the Product Owner, developing User Personas to help the product development team understand the needs, motivations, goals, behaviours and preferences of the target audience.

  • Incorporating the instructions of technical experts in the areas of User Design, Fraud Prevention, and Technology Architecture, into non-functional considerations for Product Backlog Items (PBIs).

  • Supporting the Product Owner in partnering with the development team to iteratively deliver valuable product functionality that accomplishes product objectives and key results.

  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to identify, define, and test new features through various channels (squad ceremonies, written and verbal communication).

  • Demonstrating awareness of the relationships between the Epics that are currently in flight with the SBIs, and near-term PBIs.

  • Conducting market research and partnering with the Strategy team to leverage available research, identify industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape at the product and/or squad level.​

  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to extract actionable insights at the product and/or squad level. Provide recommendations based on insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.

  • Confidently communicating detailed information in an impactful way, to external and internal stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Interac’s partners and customers and fostering open two-way communication as a trusted advisor and brand representative.​

You bring:  

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, a related field or have relevant professional experience.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.​

  • A demonstration of the Agile mindset, and strong experience in problem-solving within Agile environments. 

  • Clear and concise communication skills to convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders via reports and presentations.​

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in data interpretation or market analysis.​

  • The ability to understand the broader business strategy and align insights with organizational goals.​

  • The skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams/squads, including product managers, marketing, and sales teams and external stakeholders.​

  • A mindset to stay curious about industry trends, emerging technologies, and new research methodologies.
