Overview:

Guidepoint is on a mission of making individuals, businesses, and the world smarter through personalized knowledge-sharing solutions. To support this effort, We‘re looking to bring onboard a senior designer to join our team in Toronto. Each product designer at Guidepoint works in a pod with a product manager, up to 6 engineers, and a QA.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the full product life cycle, from product discovery and hypothesis validation to design, and measurement of features that are being used by our customers. They will own and drive exceptional end-to-end user experience, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting the experience vision and designs across key initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • · Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality digital product experiences.
  • · Participate in discovery to understand user needs, business goals, and constraints, and translate insights into thoughtful solutions.
  • · Conduct user research and usability testing to validate ideas and improve designs through iteration.
  • · Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs for features and end-to-end journeys.
  • · Contribute to design critiques, workshops, and feedback sessions to continuously improve product quality.
  • · Apply and contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product.
  • · Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, accessible, and well-implemented.
  • · Grow your craft by learning from peers, incorporating feedback, and improving design processes.

Required Technical Qualifications:

  • · 2–5 years of experience as a product designer, with a strong portfolio of digital product work.
  • · Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, including interaction design, visual design, accessibility, and usability.
  • · Experience working in agile product teams, from discovery through delivery.
  • · Ability to plan and conduct user research and synthesize insights into actionable design decisions.
  • · Strong systems thinking and ability to translate abstract or technical system behavior into intuitive, human-centered experiences.
  • · Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
  • · Clear communication and storytelling skills to explain design decisions and tradeoffs.
  • · A self-starter mindset with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • · A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, thoughtful problem solving and impact
  • · Experience using AI-assisted design tools to accelerate ideation, exploration, or production (e.g., AI image generation, copy assistance, prototyping).
  • · Comfort experimenting with LLMs, prompts, or no-/low-code tools to test ideas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • · Familiarity with AI prototyping tools for conversational or agent-based experiences (e.g., prompt-based prototypes, flow simulators, or agent playgrounds).
  • · Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI-powered products or agent-based systems.
  • · Curiosity about emerging AI design patterns and frameworks, and best practices—and a habit of learning by doing.
