About us

Common Room is the customer intelligence platform that captures every buying signal, giving companies superpowers with AI enrichment and automation to reach the right person with the right context at the right time.
Despite an explosion of buyer signals, companies are left struggling with siloed point solution vendors, bloated tech stacks, and unactionable "intent" data. Common Room brings together all the buying signals you care about in one place so you can track the entire customer journey, match signals to real people and accounts, take action and automate.
We’ve raised over $50 million from top-tier investors including Greylock, Index, and Madrona to build the world's first customer intelligence platform for modern B2B companies. And we’re backed by 25+ operators from the fastest-growing companies in the world such as Figma, Stripe, Airtable, Slack, Notion, Loom, and more.
You + Common Room? You’d be joining a team that revels in asking hard questions, collaborating gladly, and making decisions quickly—a team that values simplicity, passion, trust, each other, and our customers above all.

So hello! Please, knock on our door. We'd love to meet you.

Why we need you:

We're looking for a product designer to help shape, build, and ship products and features that transform a company’s go-to-market motion into one that’s intelligent, AI-augmented, automated, and enriched. This allows sales, marketing, and revenue teams to reach the right person with the right context at the right time. We are creating a new category in B2B customer intelligence. There is no shortage of opportunity -- if you feel energized and excited by this and love creating clarity from chaos, then this is the team for you.

Product Designers at Common Room have a generalist role. You will deeply understand customer needs, explore solutions with breadth and fidelity, critique early and often, and craft the UI with no detail overlooked. You lean on your partners in engineering, product and marketing to represent a diversity of viewpoints so what we build is well-considered and valuable to all of our customers — present and prospective.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Partner with Product Management when defining a product or feature’s development lifecycle. You will help identify problems or areas of opportunity in the product for our customers, research how competitors do (or don’t) approach these problems, explore solutions, review with leadership, refine, ship, and support.
  • Partner with Engineering and be directly responsible for the product UI and experience. If you see something worthy of a change in the product, take action and propose a solution. Help make our customers fall (even more) in love with Common Room as they use it every day.
  • Be comprehensive in your craft — explore a range of solutions, show flows and interactions in detail, consider the corner cases, and aim for precision in your work. Own an entire area of the product, yet jump into other parts at a moment’s notice.
  • Lead by example, bias toward action, and don’t strive for perfection. Be self-sufficient yet willing to ask for help early and often.
  • Contribute to the Common Room design system to ensure quality, consistency, scalability, and self-service as we move quickly to build out experiences.
  • Be agile and flexible as requirements inevitably change, leveraging the knowns and embracing the unknowns. Know when to invent and when to re-use existing patterns and components.

You will enjoy being a member of our team if you are:

  • A mid-level-to-senior product designer with 5+ years of experience. Familiarity with B2B SaaS is preferred, though for outstanding candidates this is not a strict requirement.
  • A clear communicator in writing, in person, and in design.
  • Passionate about how design and design thinking can help with how someone understands a problem and executes on solutions when creating a product from zero to one.
  • Able to keep your eye on the prize with the big picture, but can also get into the details of how a product should work with an eye for frictionless user experiences and clear customer value.
  • Able to break down complex problems into simple solutions and execute on them quickly. Proactively move initiatives forward and consistently lead design on products from start-to-finish with limited direction.
  • Scrappy and practical with a balanced approach to speed and quality, though can be inventive when the status quo simply isn’t going to work.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment and know when to set up or use certain processes (and also when not to — remember, think scrappy).
  • Highly collaborative, caring about teammates, and strive to improve the team and culture

Our values:

  • Be Customer-centric - We work backwards from the needs of our customers. The crisp articulation of customer value guides our decisions.
  • Strive for Simplicity - We choose simplicity over complexity whenever possible. We seek to identify and understand the essential quality of what we are building.
  • Make it Happen - We are quick to take the first step, and prioritize decisiveness over fear of making a mistake. We don’t confuse motion for movement and we measure ourselves on impact over actions.
  • We’re In this Together - We measure personal success by the success of our customers and teammates. Relationships matter, and the strongest ones are built on the foundations of trust, enablement, and transparency.

Our benefits:

Our investment in caring for our employees and their families is a key part of our values and culture at Common Room:

  • Competitive base compensation with meaningful equity ownership
  • Health insurance including medical, dental, and vision, HSA and FSA
  • We pay 100% of your employee premium and 50% of your premium for any dependents
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Paid Company Holidays
  • Work from home policy including a laptop and support for your home office needs
  • Monthly Remote Stipend
  • 401(k) self contribution
  • Paid Family Leave
  • Opportunity to join a diverse, passionate, and fun team at a pivotal time in the company’s lifecycle
