Job Description

Procurement Operations Specialist is directly responsible for supporting regional initiatives in processing contracts, executing rate tariffs, and all other operations requirements and details associated with DMC operations in a dedicated region and across all Navigatr brands. This includes updating proprietary systems, executing channel management strategies, executing rate management for vendor service portfolios, competitive analysis, and identifying opportunities for efficiencies. This position involves deep understanding and working with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure various priorities are accommodated while working towards the long-term growth and profitability of the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understanding and applying global travel operations trends and details – and regularly pivoting with changes in industry operations.
  • Working with vendors, and internal clients to understand the requirements and nuances of regional services and associated rates and tariffs.
  • Coordination and support of the data entry team with the regional rate entry cycle and rate revisions.
  • Processing contracts and executing rate tariffs, booking procedures and all other operations requirements as required.
  • Production of reports and analysis as well as identifying and proposing opportunities and resolutions to any regional situations.
  • Building and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Collaborating in growth and building of new regions and areas.
  • Collaborate with other department team members on other projects as necessary.

Qualifications

  • College degree in the Tourism and hospitality industry or an equivalent education.
  • Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and understanding of rates, taxes and supplements.
  • Understanding data collection, compiling the proper information, and assisting reports to make strategic decisions.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude, independent and self-driven.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.
  • Solid level of proficiency with Excel and experience and/or education in database management.
