As a Processor - Level 1 here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in driving the success and growth of the company. You will operate and monitor equipment that finishes, plates, and coats metal articles or parts to deliver high-quality products with electrical or corrosion resistance properties. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in ensuring safe and efficient operations, meeting production goals, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report directly to our Senior Quality Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location on an onsite work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company by contributing to Honeywell Aerospace’s commitment to innovation and quality, enabling it to maintain its position as a global technology leader and deliver solutions that improve the quality of life for people around the world.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing parts for painting/plating operations by attaching to applicable racks
  • Preparing and maintaining painting/plating production records
  • Reviewing engineering drawings/specifications or internal instructions to identify the paint/plating requirements
  • Operating and monitoring painting/plating equipment
  • Checking the proper thickness of paint/plating using appropriate devices recording data and writing production logs
  • preparing and mixing metalizing solutions according to formulas or specifications.
  • Proper segregation and containment of non-conforming material.
  • Conducting required quality assurance testing of product to ensure compliance.
  • Proper handling, storge and disposal of raw materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols for PPE including wearing a respirator at times 
  • Ability to work overtime as required and afternoon shifts
Qualifications

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP / CSP / Secret security clearance. 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Painting/plating experience to minimize quality defects.
  • 1+ years of experience in Microsoft office suite, including SAP knowledge.

The annual base salary range for this position is $40,000 – 60,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
