Job Description

We are currently seeking a Process Specialist to join our Process Engineering team in our Corporate Engineering department location in Brampton, ON. In this position, you will work in a multidiscipline engineering team to execute capital expenditure and plant maintenance projects of varying sizes.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE:

  • Development of project deliverables.  These include, but are not limited to: Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment sizing, Equipment/Piping lists, Theory of Operation

  • Facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies

  • Visiting site to collect data. 

  • Collaborating with operators and plant engineers to obtain key information about running facilities to help diagnose problems and find solutions to improve operational efficiency

  • Supporting IKO’s core values and leadership behaviours

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

  • 5+ years of experience working in a similar role

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • 5S knowledge and implementation preferred

  • CCPS Process Safety Professional is preferred

  • Experience with development of process documentation to be used for project execution and troubleshooting existing equipment

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Ability to develop schematics in Autocad is a plus

  • P.Eng. in Ontario is preferred
