We are currently seeking a Private Client Operations Specialist to join our CIIS Reconciliation team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to provide prompt and courteous service to our internal and external partners, which includes our custodians, Investment Counselors, and their Assistants. Primary duties include providing reconciliation support on all Financial and Non-Financial transactions for our private client accounts. Main areas of responsibility include: daily reconciliation of cash, assets and book values between our internal systems and our custodians, providing analytical support and resolution on ad hoc reconciliation issues, identifying workflow inefficiencies and participate in enhancement projects as required. Our team takes great pride in providing high quality work and service for our high-net-worth clientele under the CI Assante Private Client and CI Private Wealth platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure daily financial/non-financial requests and integrity reports are acted upon in a timely manner and with exceptional accuracy.
  • Duties may include: reconciling account and ACB values with custodial records daily; setting up securities, accounts, and transactions in our internal systems where required; working with internal and external partners to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and with the utmost accuracy for our high-net-worth client portfolios; identifying trends on issues and providing solutions as required.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to Financial Advisors, Investment Counsellors, Client Service, Wealth Planners, Custodians and other internal departments via phone and email on account-specific inquiries.
  • Review all incoming requests and ensure all business and compliance procedures are adhered to.
  • Investigate account-related problems, analyze, make recommendations, and implement the best-possible agreed-upon solution for the client in a timely manner.
  • Handle escalated issues and ensure regular follow up and prompt resolution is achieved.  Ensure proactive escalation of issues on matters requiring management’s attention.
  • Support team with quality control efforts and assist in other Private Client/CIIS desks or special projects throughout the year as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline
  • Experience within the financial services industry in an administration/service role considered an asset
  • Mutual funds/securities knowledge and related industry courses (CSC, IFIC Operations, etc.) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of day-to-day operations/administration of client accounts, with strong analytical, problem solving and good arithmetic skills
  • Strong and accurate alphanumeric data entry skills and customer service mindset
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and deliver high quality work under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)

This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $34,320 to $58,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
