****This is a 1st shift remote role paying $120k-$140k CAD****

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Principal Product Owner, you will:

  • Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategic direction for the SaaS collaboration platform.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to identify and prioritize product enhancements and new features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align the product strategy with business objectives and ensure a clear product roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, considering business goals, technical feasibility, and market trends.
  • Break down the product roadmap into manageable milestones and prioritize features and initiatives based on value, urgency, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to estimate effort and plan sprints and releases.
  • Serve as the manager for other product owner in an Agile/Scrum development environment, working closely with Senior Product Owners and development teams to ensure successful delivery of product increments.
  • Write and prioritize user stories, create wireframes, and define acceptance criteria for development tasks.
  • Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to provide clarity, guidance, and feedback on product requirements.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centric design approach and a seamless user experience throughout the platform.
  •  Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and iterate on designs to improve the product's usability and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, sales, marketing, and customer support, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and align product priorities.
  • Regularly communicate product updates, progress, and plans to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches, coordinating with marketing and sales teams to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Monitor product usage, gather customer feedback, and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive product optimization.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in education and experience.
  • MBA and/or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • CSPO title is a plus.

Minimum Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner with software for mission-critical products, working with Agile methodology.
  • Background in engineering, technology, or UX preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer development, product definition, feature scoping, and balancing tradeoffs for industry-leading business software products.
  • Experience in cloud computing with Federation, Public/Private/Multi Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience with creating/managing/delivering IaaS/SaaS/PaaS/Cloud products is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to track and prioritize multiple issues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and requirements.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and sales teams.
  • Must be a strong collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
